At Connected Minds, our mission is to nurture understanding, support growth, and build meaningful connections for every child by empowering the adults who care for them.
We aim to help both adults and children better understand themselves, strengthen and reconnect family relationships, and support couples in fostering empathy and deeper understanding for one another. Through compassionate, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, we create pathways for families and professionals to work together in ways that truly benefit the children at the heart of their care.
Charlotte has worked with children and young people for over 13 years and qualified as a Social Worker in 2016. Throughout her career, she has gained experience across a range of teams within different local authorities, most recently as a Supervising Social Worker, supporting foster carers to create safe and nurturing environments for the children in their care.
Charlotte brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. She has a diagnosis of ADHD and is a parent to two neurodivergent children. This dual perspective gives her a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of neurodiverse children and families, as well as the impact of trauma.
Her passion—and perhaps her special interest—is learning everything she can about neurodiversity and trauma, exploring how they intersect, and sharing practical, compassionate ways to help children and families not just cope, but truly thrive.
Rachel is a qualified couples counsellor with extensive experience supporting relationships and family dynamics. She works with couples navigating the challenges of parenthood, helping them improve communication, rebuild closeness, and manage conflict in healthy ways. She also supports families experiencing complex dynamics, such as unhealthy boundaries, trust issues, or the impacts of trauma.
Rachel brings both professional knowledge and lived experience as a parent, offering a compassionate, understanding approach to those she works with. She has a particular interest in how parenting, neurodiversity, and mental health intersect, and is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families create stronger, more fulfilling connections.
Her practice integrates a range of therapeutic approaches, including systemic, psychodynamic, CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. Committed to ongoing development, Rachel continually builds her knowledge and skills to provide thoughtful, evidence-based support tailored to each unique situation.
